"Mine, all mine." Collecting Scrooge McDuck has come naturally to me. As a child in 1954, my favorite comic book stories were by Carl Barks, though I didn’t recognize his name at the time. Even years later, when I began collecting comics in 1970, I still did not know who Carl Barks was. I only knew that I liked the comics by the "good duck artist." I soon found out, though.

As time went on I began to collect Scrooge figurines and other merchandise. All along, my favorite has always been Scrooge McDuck. I shall always remember reading of his adventures when I was only five.
